Jon Rahm saved his best for last, securing the individual season points title on the LIV Golf tour and an eye-popping $18 million bonus with his victory at the final event of the year in Chicago.
Rahm, already a two-time winner on the breakaway circuit in its inaugural season, entered the week knowing a strong performance could tip the tightly-bunched points race in his favor. And over four days at the Bolingbrook Golf Course, the Spaniard showed why he remains golf's premier clutch performer.
After posting rounds of 67-68-66 to take a one-shot lead into the final day, Rahm refused to surrender the advantage, going bogey-free with a 4-under 66 to finish at 11-under for the tournament. That left him three clear of nearest challengers Joaquin Niemann and Sergio Garcia, both of whom applied pressure with late birdies but ultimately couldn't hunt Rahm down.
"I wanted to do a good show and get it over the line. I'm really happy," said Rahm, who said he was nervous on the practice range. "To go bogey-free on the weekend, it's quite spectacular. I'm very proud of the putt on the 17th, which made 18 a lot easier."

The win, worth $4 million alone, capped a standout first LIV Golf campaign for the world number three, who showed consistency to place inside the top ten at every completed event. That included a playoff defeat in Portland to Brooks Koepka, making Sunday's clinching performance in Chicago perhaps the sweetest of all.
Now with close to $50 million in career LIV Golf earnings already, Rahm's arrival has undoubtedly elevated the upstart circuit's credibility among fans and opponents alike. And with the momentum of a points title and season-long excellence behind him, he'll head into 2025 as the player to beat once more.
