2024 Olympic Golf Men's Event Tees Off on Thursday

The highly anticipated men's individual stroke play event at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris is set to begin this Thursday, with officials unveiling the tee times for the opening round at Le Golf National. After much anticipation since qualifying concluded, golf fans will finally be able to watch some of the world's best men's professional golfers tee off and battle it out for the coveted gold medal.

Headlining the morning wave will be defending Olympic champion Xander Schauffele of the United States going off the first tee at 5:55 a.m alongside fellow American star Jon Rahm and Norwegian rising star Viktor Hovland. All eyes will be on whether Schauffele can replicate his gold medal success from Tokyo in front of what is sure to be an electric crowd atmosphere at Le Golf National.

Also generating plenty of buzz will be the 5:44am tee time featuring red hot Irishman Shane Lowry, fresh off his British Open victory, teeing it up alongside Byeong Hun An from Korea and Canada's top ranked player Nick Taylor. Lowry will look to parlay his major triumph at Royal Portrush into another big success on one of golf's biggest stages in Paris.

Kicking off the action right at dawn will be French hometown favorite Victor Perez, going head to head with Germany's Matti Schmid and Chinese Taipei's C.T. Pan. Perez will have the weight of national expectation on his shoulders as he looks to give the large home crowds something to cheer for early in the week.

Finally, Americans Scottie Scheffler and Collin Morikawa, the world's top two ranked players, will experience a rare matchup going off at 4:11 a.m and 6:06 a.m respectively. Both will be brimming with confidence after recent PGA Tour success and will provide a high quality contest for fans tuning in early.

With such a star studded field including 17 of the world's top 20 ranked players, the Olympic men's competition in Paris is primed to be one of the most exciting and closely contested in the event's brief history. Be sure to tune in to Golf Channel beginning at 3am EST on Thursday for live coverage of the coveted first round.
