Friendos, as you all know I'm always keeping my ears to the ground for any juicy golf gossip. Well it looks like things may have gotten a bit awkward between reporter Amanda Balionis and a certain Major champion after her farewell to the links.
As you probably heard, Amanda announced this week that she's leaving the world of golf coverage behind to focus on becoming an NFL queen. Can't say I blame her. Anyways, to end her golf career, Balionis posted the cutest little montage on Instagram of all her best moments on the job.
"It's an honor to be a very small part of a tremendous team that brings these moments and stories to life each weekend. If we left you with one new favorite player, or one memorable moment you shared with loved ones than we have done our jobs. Catch ya on the NFL sidelines until next season!"
And that's where things get interesting - because included in the b-roll of interviews was none other than Rory McIlroy! Now if you'll recall, earlier this season there were some spicy rumors floating around that Mams and Rory were getting a little too "friendly" behind closed doors after his divorce from wifey Erica. Apparently those rumors got squashed pretty quick once Rory and the missus decided to stay together after all.

But make of it what you will - including Rory in the goodbye montage and treating him just like any other pro she covered seems a little shady if you ask me! Ouchies! Who knows what really went down between those two, but something tells me things might be a touch awkward if they cross paths down the road.
So guys, we all know Amanda Balionis has been in the sports interview game for years now. The 39-year-old has rocked the sidelines for CBS, grilling players and coaches for all the juicy behind-the-scenes scoops during NFL and college ball games. She's a pro at getting those mid-game exclusives from guys right in the heart of the action.
While we know Ammy tied the knot with former QB Bryn Renner back in 2022, there's been some questionable stuff happening recently that's got the rumor mill churning. For one, she's been spotted sans wedding ring. And all of a sudden she's using her maiden name "Balionis" again on socials - divorce already maybe!?
And if that wasn't eyebrow-raising enough, Amanda's been leaving some real cryptic messages on Instagram lately. After covering Rory McIlroy flame out at the US Open, she posted some angsty lyrics that really seemed aimed at someone cough cough. Her fans are eating it all up trying to decode the potential drama.

We all know rumors swirled earlier this year about her and Rory, so could there possibly be something more there under the surface?
