Both the men's and women's Olympic golf tournaments are held at Le Golf National, but they have markedly different course lengths.
Following the success of the men's Olympic Golf, where American Scottie Scheffler won gold, the women's event will be at Le Golf National.
Like the men's tournament, many of the world's best women will be competing in Paris, including 2020 gold medalist and current world No. 1 Nelly Korda. However, the women's course will be significantly shorter than the men's. Le Golf National's Albatros course, which hosted the 2018 Ryder Cup and the Open de France, is a par-71 course for men, measuring 7,174 yards. However, for the women's event, it will be a par-72, 6,374 yards long.
Front nine
While the first hole is a 419-yard par-4 for the men, this hole is 386 yards for the women, with water being a challenge. Next, the second hole is a par-3, one of four par-3 holes at the course, set at 210 yards for the men but will be just 154 yards for the women.
The third hole is the first par-5 on the course, measuring 558 yards for the men and also the longest hole the women will face at 499 yards, with water on both sides of the fairway and a large bunker next to the green.
The fourth hole is 486 yards for the men and will be reduced to 421 yards for the women. The fifth hole is a 405-yard par-4 for men but will be 371 yards for women, with prominent bunkers on both the fairway and around the green.
The seventh hole is 457 yards for men but 23 yards less for women and has bunkers to the left of the green, while the par-3 eighth hole is 208 yards for men but will be 161 yards for women. The longest hole for men is the ninth hole, which is 579 yards long but will be set at 466 yards for women.
Back nine
Moving to the back nine, the par-4 10th is 375 yards for men but will be 351 yards for women, while the par-3 11th hole has a lake in front of the green, which is 174 yards in the men's tournament but will be 30 yards less for women.
The 12th hole is set at 433 yards for men and 408 yards for women. The 14th hole requires precision with its narrow fairway, measuring 552 yards for men and 478 yards for women.
The 16th hole is the final par-3, measuring 168 yards for men and 150 yards for women, followed by the 17th hole, a par-4 measuring 480 yards for men and 397 yards for women. Finally, the treacherous 18th hole, which sees players navigate sand and water traps, is a 471-yard par-4 in the men's tournament, but a 447-yard par-5 in the women's tournament.
