Well, it looks like the PGA Tour is finally catching on to where the real excitement in golf is these days - and that's online! They just announced a one-of-a-kind tournament exclusively for your favorite YouTube golf stars. Called "The Creator Classic", it's going to take place at East Lake the week of the Tour Championship, on Aug. 28 at 4 p.m.
Sixteen of the biggest names in viral golf content will tee it up in a best ball stroke play format for eight holes, with the top 4 then facing off in a sudden death playoff. And golf media girl and social media sensation Paige Spiranac leads a star-studded field. But she's going to have her hands full with the likes of Tyler "Guude Shot Guy" Toney from Dude Perfect, Fat Perez from Bob Does Sports, and three-quarters of the Good Good crew: Garrett Clark, Brad Dalke and Sean Walsh. Who will come out on top between these digital dynamos?

It gets better - The lucky lads and lass competing in The Creator Classic are getting a first look at East Lake's new back nine following some major renovations. Apparently no expense was spared in returning the layout to its glory days designed by Donald Ross, while also modernizing things.
Sounds like they really stripped things back to rediscover what made it great in the beginning. Yet upgraded where needed to challenge players at the highest level. Can't wait to see how it came out! The creators will have bragging rights as the venue's official unveiling.
I'm sure the footage will be incredible too. With the same ShotLink tracking and 3D ball stats the TV broadcast gets, viewers at home can follow along shot-by-shot. Graphic overlays will highlight changes and showcase the restoration process. Trackman radar guns will show ball speed, spin, etc on every drive and approach. Basically everything but beer and popcorn!
