Tom Kim's Green Anger Costs Him at FedEx St. Jude Championship

My friends, it seems our boy Tom Kim let the green monster get the best of him at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. Things were going well for young Tom - he was 4 under through 15 holes and looking primed for a weekend run. But then the wheels fell off in an epic fashion.

Bogey, double bogey, DOUBLE BOGEY?! The dreaded 6-6-6. Ouch. That's gonna leave a mark. But it was earlier on the 12th green where things really got spicy. Tom missed a short birdie putt and was seeing red. He slammed his putter down so hard it left a little dent in the green! Now normally people try to fix those kinds of marks... but Tom just ripped his ball out of the hole and stormed off. Not a good look my friend, not a good look.

Of course #GolfTwitter couldn't let that kind of behavior slide. The memes and roasts started flying faster than one of Tom's drives. People were mad that he didn't fix his mess. But apparently the ever helpful Paul Tesori, Kim's caddie, swooped in like a pro and smoothed things over. Too bad social media doesn't let things die so easily!

In the end, Tom's temper tantrum may cost him big time - he fell way back in the standings and is battling just to make it to Boston for the BMW. Someone get that man a sports psychologist, stat! In the meantime, I'll be over here cracking up at all the hilarious tweets dunking on our boy. Oof, tough break kid - maybe save the dramatics for the highlights reel next time!

Until next time golf gossip lovers, keep it real. And don't slam your putter on the greens!
