July 25, 2024 - LIV Golf has revealed the enormous prize money on offer for their upcoming event in the United Kingdom next year.

The LIV Golf Invitational will be held from July 25-28, 2024 at JCB Golf & Country Club. It marks the 11th event of LIV's inaugural 14-tournament season.

In a record purse for a LIV event, a total of $20 million will be on the line. This includes $4 million for the individual winner, making it one of the richest prizes in golf.

The prize money will be distributed down to 54th place, with $50,000 on offer. Breakdowns show the runner-up will earn $2.25 million, with $1.5 million for third and $1 million for fourth.

LIV Golf's individual points leaderboard will also be on the line. Early standings see Chile's Joaquin Niemann out in front following two wins this season. Jon Rahm of Spain currently sits in second place.

Many of the PGA Tour defectors who have joined LIV Golf are expected to tee it up in the UK. This includes major champions like Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau.

With its record purse and star-studded field anticipated, the LIV Golf Invitational United Kingdom is poised to be the league's biggest event yet in its inaugural year. Players and fans will flock to witness golf history being made at JCB Golf & Country Club.

Sergio Garcia will also be in the mix after victory in Spain two weeks ago lifted him to third in the season standings. The veteran Spaniard has embraced LIV Golf's team-centric format and will captain defending champion Fireballs GC as they seek back-to-back wins. Several Major champions and top-50 players make up a field eager to bolster their new league resumes and bankrolls.
