Nashville, TN - As LIV Golf prepares to kick off its ninth event of the season at The Grove golf club this week, captain Phil Mickelson of HyFlyers GC is getting his team into the Nashville spirit with a little line dancing.
Before the start of the LIV Golf Nashville tournament, Mickelson and teammates Brendan Steele, Cameron Tringale and Andy Ogletree were filmed kicking up their boots in an impromptu line dance session. All four players were dressed in traditional cowboy attire, with Mickelson wearing a 10-gallon hat.
In a video posted to the HyFlyers GC Twitter account, the foursome can be seen enthusiastically line dancing to country music in one of the team rooms at their accommodations. Mickelson and Ogletree seemed to be leading the moves, encouraging their teammates with enthusiastic whoops and claps.

The lighthearted moment comes as HyFlyers GC looks to bounce back from a disappointing season so far on the LIV Golf standings. Currently ranked 11th out of 13 teams, captain Mickelson is no doubt hoping some good old fashioned southern hospitality and fun can boost team morale and spark an improved performance this week in Nashville.
The new LIV Golf series, backed by Saudi Arabian money, kicks off its Tennessee stop on Friday at the scenic Grove course. Bryson DeChambeau is the betting favorite to claim his first LIV individual title. But after showing off his line dancing skills, 53-year-old Mickelson will be hoping to two-step his way up the team leaderboard as well.
Only time will tell if HyFlyers GC's country-themed preparations will translate to success on the course. But it seems Mickelson is leaving no stone unturned in his mission to get his team dancing in Nashville.
