Anyone following the 2024 season knew it was only a matter of time before Xander Schauffele added another major title to his resume. At The Open Championship this month, the American phenom rose to the occasion at storied Royal Troon to claim his second career major victory.
While Schauffele gets most of the credit for his deft ball-striking and steady hand down the stretch on Sunday, one can't underestimate the role his equipment played in helping lift the Claret Jug. Let's take a closer look at the sticks, ball and other gear that got Xander the job done on the links of Scotland.

Driver
Schauffele opted for the new Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond driver (10.5 degrees, set to Mitsubishi Chemical Diamana PD 70TX shaft). The club features Callaway's groundbreaking new "Ai Smart Face" technology which utilizes machine learning to optimize ball speed and launch conditions off the face. The compact Triple Diamond model suits Schauffele's faster swing.
3-Wood
In the fairway woods, Schauffele went with another offering from Callaway's breakthrough Ai Smoke line - the Triple Diamond 3-wood (16.5 degrees, Mitsubishi Chemical Diamana PD 80TX shaft). Like the driver, it incorporates Callaway's new "Ai Smart Face" for penetrating ball flights at lower spins.
Irons
The majority of Schauffele's irons were Callaway Apex Pro (4-PW, True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts), known for exceptional distance and forgiveness. He complemented them with a Mizuno MP-20 (3-iron, True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue Mid X100 shaft).
Wedges
Schauffele's wedges consisted of Callaway Opus (52,10S degrees and 56,10S degrees; True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shaft) and Titleist Vokey WedgeWorks (60-06K degrees; True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shaft) models which supplied him pin-point control around the greens.
Putter
On the greens, Schauffele trusted his Odyssey Las Vegas Prototype (SuperStroke Zenergy Pistol 2.0 grip) which has now delivered victories at two majors.
Ball
He elected to play Callaway's new Chrome Tour ball renowned for its fast cores and urethane covers optimized for feel and control.
Grips
Schauffele wrapped his grips with Golf Pride's New Decade MultiCompound Align grip for enhanced weather resistance and feel.
With this tried-and-true arsenal, Schauffele proved he has both the game and the gear to take down golf's toughest tests. It should come as no surprise that at 30 years old, this may not be his last major title by a long shot.
